Beaver Scouts (Ages 6-8)

Beaver Scouts are all about fun, friendship, and discovery! Through games, crafts, and outdoor adventures, Beavers develop teamwork and build confidence in a safe, nurturing environment. From earning badges to exploring the world around them, Beaver Scouts encourages curiosity and creativity while making lasting friendships and having tons of fun.


We have two Beaver Colonies at Sandridge that meet on a Thursday and Friday evening.


Beavers is all about exploration, teamwork and making unforgettable memories.  They focus on fun, friendship, and adventure through activities like outdoor exploration, crafts, games, community projects and earning badges.


What We Do

Every week, Sandridge Beaver Scouts gather for exciting adventures, challenges, and lots of fun. Whether it’s:

  • Discovering nature with wildlife activities and outdoor games,
  • Trying new skills like cooking, crafting, or building things,
  • Helping the community through volunteering and teamwork, or
  • Earning badges that reward their efforts and achievements,

What Uniform Do I Need?

When you are invested into the Group you will need to have the appropriate uniform and will be issued with your scarf and badges.  Your Section Leaders can provide further details on specific uniform requirements.


Uniforms are available at the Scout and Guide Shops which are located behind Alban Manor Nursing Home, off Waverley Road in St Albans.


In addition we do run a 'Pre-Loved' Uniform Shop where you can purchase second hand uniforms too.
